VANCOUVER, May 9 /CNW/ - Fortress Base Metals Corp. (TSX-V: FBM.V) is a Canadian based junior resource company focused on the exploration, development and acquisition of both advanced and mid stage mineral projects throughout British Columbia.

Fortress Base Metals is pleased to announce the appointment of Darren Tindale to the Board of Directors. Mr. Tindale has an extensive financial background in the mining industry. Currently, Mr. Tindale is the controller for Galena Capital Corp., a publicly listed mining company focused on Latin America asset development. Additionally, Mr. Tindale is the controller for Canadian Nexus Ventures, a Venture Capital group that focuses on public and private equity; www.CanadianNexus.com.
