New Promotions by SCA Enable Businesses, Event Planners to Offer Consumers Free Gas or Groceries for Life
Fri May 16, 1:52 PMDALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Businesses looking to combat sluggish sales now have a way to connect with consumers where it counts, thanks to the Gas for Life and Groceries for Life promotions recently unveiled by Dallas-based SCA Promotions.
To help businesses boost foot traffic and increase sales in an increasingly tough economy, SCA, the worlds leading provider of promotional risk coverage, has developed two turnkey promotional solutions that speak to two of the biggest issues now facing consumers: Soaring gas and food prices.
Everyone is feeling the crunch from the continued spikes in gas and food prices, and that, in turn, is causing consumers to cut down on spending, says Jerri Capps, director of sales for SCA. Businesses need a way to drive people into their locations and the best way to do that is to offer a fun, high-impact promotion that engages and excites potential customers. With the economy the way it is, gas and food are on everybodys mind -- making these promotions ideal for any business or event.
Whats great about these promotions is that the consumers provide the game piece themselves in the form of their drivers license or a dollar bill, reducing the costs and making it something everyone can relate to, adds Capps.
Both the Gas for Life and Groceries for Life promotions utilize a contest Web site that be customized for the promotion sponsor, though Capps notes that the free gas or groceries prize concept can also be incorporated into non-Web promotional solutions SCA offers. In the Gas for Life promotion, the consumer simply stops by the event or retail location and enters the last six digits of his or her drivers license into the contest Web site. If the six digits are an exact match to the six digits randomly selected for the promotion, the consumer wins free gas for life(a). With the Groceries for Life promotion, consumers bring in a dollar bill and enter the last two digits from the bills serial number into the contest Web site. SCAs patented Internet Verification System (IVS) then displays a complete 8-digit serial number ending in the contestants two digit numbers. If the eight-digit serial number on the contestants dollar bill matches the serial number displayed on the IVS, he or she wins free groceries for life(a). In both cases, SCA covers the cost of the prize when a win occurs.
Both of these promotions can include sponsor-provided secondary prizes for matching a 5 or 4 digit number, allowing each consumer multiple chances to win. The IVS also has the ability to feature secondary prizes that are awarded randomly such as giving away a $25 grocery or gas certificate to every 50th customer who plays the game, notes Capps. And because both are delivered virtually and incorporate SCAs promotional risk coverage in which we calculate the odds of a winner and provide risk coverage based on those odds, we can provide these promotions to businesses and event planners at a low-fixed cost that works within their budget.
