Atwell-Hicks Expands Office/Industrial Land Development Services

Thu Mar 1, 3:58 PM

TAMPA, Fla., March 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Client demand and ongoing geographic expansion have spurred land development consulting firm Atwell-Hicks to expand their office/industrial project teams and service offerings. Vice President of Commercial Services, Daniel E. McNulty, made the announcement.

"Commercial real estate investment and development activities are cyclical," said McNulty. "Atwell is responding to the needs of diverse national developers as well the need for specialized consultants, particularly in growing industrial markets, in the Southeast."

To lead this initiative, the firm has hired Julia S. Rettig, former commercial real estate developer and president of Tampa Bay Development. Rettig will oversee industrial and office project teams in the Tampa and the Southeast, as well as regional and national activity. Her efforts will parallel the firm's existing retail, residential and mixed-use market sectors.

"When I saw the opportunity to formalize Atwell's industrial team and bring value to my colleagues in the market, I got excited," said Rettig. "With the amount of industrial activity in Tampa, there is a strong need for specialized consultants."

Rettig has developed high-profile industrial and office projects with Carter, Duke and ProLogis in Tampa Bay before launching her own firm, Tampa Bay Development, in 2003. There, she provided consulting services for clients like The Tampa Port Authority, Duke Realty and Gamma Delta Corp on numerous development opportunities.

A past president of the local and State chapters of NAIOP, President of REIC Tampa Bay and founding board member of CREW Tampa Bay, Rettig is also on the Executive Board of the Tampa Chamber of Commerce and was awarded Tampa Bay Business Journal's 40 Under 40 award in 1999.
