Standard & Poor's Announces Changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index

TORONTO, Sept. 1 /CNW/ - Standard & Poor's will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index after the close of trading on Tuesday, September 1, 2009:

    
    -  The shares of Chapleau Resources Ltd. (TSXVN: CHI) will be removed from
       the index. Magellan Minerals Ltd. (TSXVN: MNM) has agreed to acquire
       all of the issued and outstanding shares of Chapleau under a statutory
       plan of arrangement.
