TORONTO, July 2 /CNW/ - Honda Canada Inc. reported combined June sales of 16,518 units by its Honda and Acura divisions, a 2% decrease over last June. The Honda Automobile Division reported June sales of 14,918 units, down 1%. The Acura Division reported June sales of 1,600 units, down 15% over last year.
"Canadian consumers continue to show their confidence in our vehicles by purchasing a large number of our vehicles such as Civic and Fit because of their high fuel efficiency, high levels of standard safety and a high degree of value," said Jerry Chenkin, executive vice president, Honda Canada Inc. "However, our overall sales results reflected a shortage in supply of these models."
Honda June sales highlights include:

previous June sales record of 463 units in 2002
Acura June sales highlights include:
- Acura RDX sets June sales record of 382 units, up 30% over the previous
June sales record of 293 units in 2007
