Inmet Mining Corp. appoints new chief executive officer

TORONTO - Inmet Mining Corp. (TSX: IMN.TO) has appointed Jochen Tilk as its president and CEO, after the post was vacated by the retirement of Richard Ross.

Tilk has been with the company for 21 years and was most recently Inmet's chief operating officer, a post he held since early 2005.

He also held several other management positions including executive vice-president and vice-president technical services.

Inmet is a mining company that produces copper, zinc and gold.
