Volkswagen Canada June 2008 sales results

AJAX, ON, July 3 /CNW/ - Volkswagen Canada has announced that its sales totalled 3,898 new units for June 2008, a 3.2% increase compared to June 2007, and that it finished its best second quarter for sales in 7 years. Sales of Volkswagen's compact and fuel-efficient vehicles, the City Golf and the Rabbit, jumped ahead of June of last year, with increases of 48.4% and 16.4%, respectively. Equally impressive were Eos convertible sales which improved by 29.1%. June also represented the first full month of sales of Volkswagen's new compact utility vehicle (CUV), the Tiguan, with 251 units delivered across Canada.
