TSX opens sharply lower as bank shares skid

TORONTO (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index tumbled at the open on Tuesday as Royal Bank of Canada and other banks were unloaded due to concerns about the European banking sector.

TORONTO (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index tumbled at the open on Tuesday as Royal Bank of Canada and other banks were unloaded due to concerns about the European banking sector.

The S&P/TSX composite index fell 103.52 points, or 0.95 percent, to 10,774.83 at the open.
