Culane Clarifies Oil Resource Description

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - July 4, 2008) - Culane Energy Corp. ("Culane") (TSX VENTURE: CLN.V) clarifies the oil resource description contained in its July 3, 2008 press release. The previously-announced Original Oil in Place (OOIP) figure is categorized as Discovered Petroleum Initially-In-Place, pursuant to National Instrument (NI) 51-101. A portion of that OOIP figure is comprised of reserves which are already disclosed by Culane. There is no certainty that it will be commercially viable to produce any portion of the resources, other than the reserves.
