European Minerals Corporation Announces Change of Name

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - July 4, 2008) - European Minerals Corporation ("EMC" or "the Company"") (TSX: EPM.TO)(AIM: OSU) announces that it has changed its name to Orsu Metals Corporation. The Company's shares begun trading on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange under its new name and new symbol "OSU" effective at 8 a.m. today, 04 July 2008.

The Company's shares and listed warrants will continue to trade on the TSX under "European Minerals Corporation" and the symbol "EPM". The TSX has conditionally approved the Company's name change, subject to the completion of certain filings being made with the TSX and the symbol OSU has been reserved for the Company on TSX. A further announcement will be made to confirm that all filing and regulatory requirements have been met and that the name and symbol change is effective for TSX.
