New England Research Institutes, Inc., Appoints Dr. Ramses F. Sadek to Vice President of Biometrics

(NERI), a global, privately held specialty Contract Research Organization (CRO), today announced the appointment of Ramses F Sadek, PhD to the position of Vice President of Biometrics. In this key senior executive position, Dr. Sadek will manage the biostatistics, data management and information technology departments at NERI.
Dr. Sadek brings over 10 years of experience in clinical trials design and analysis, regulatory affairs, and FDA interaction to this important NERI role. In addition to his management responsibilities, Dr. Sadek will provide hands-on expertise as the lead researcher for two of NERIâs major clinical initiatives.

Dr. Sadek has held positions in industry, government, not-for-profit, academia, and private consulting to pharmaceuticals and device companies. Prior to his new role as Vice President of Biostatistics at NERI, Dr. Sadek served as Senior Director of Biostatistics at the American College of Radiology (ACR). In that position he was responsible for overall operations of the Statistics and Data Management Center. Routinely he reviewed work plans within each disease site team (Head & Neck and Sarcoma; Lung; Genitourinary; Gastrointestinal, Breast, and Gynecological; and Brain). Prior to the ACR, he served as a Leader the Anthrax vaccine team and later as a leader of the Epidemiology Branch Statistics team, Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention at the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention.
As an active member of the Drug Information Association, Dr. Sadek serves on the editorial board of the Drug Information Journal. In addition, Dr. Sadek has adjunct faculty appointments at Georgia Southern University and the University of Pennsylvania. Earlier in his career, he was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics at Cairo University. He maintains an exceptional publication record in major medical journals including: The American Journal of Epidemiology, The Journal of the American Medical Association, The Journal of Infectious Diseases, Statistics in Medicine and many others. Dr. Sadek has a doctorate in Statistics and Measurement from the University of Georgia.
