Benton mobilizes crew to evaluate anomalies on the Rim Property airborne survey

Mon Jul 7, 9:31 AM

THUNDER BAY, ON, July 7 /CNW/ - Benton Resources Corp. ("Benton" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that the management of Benton has mobilized to the Rim project to evaluate multiple conductors identified by a recently flown airborne geophysical survey completed by Geotech Ltd. ("Geotech") over the property. The property is located In Labrador approximately 100km south of the Voisey's Bay nickel deposit and adjacent to Donner Minerals South Voiseys project where past exploration has identified high grade nickel in drilling.

The report supplied by Geotech is a logistical report covering the 1863 line-kilometre survey that covers most of the property. The remainder has been covered by previous airborne surveys that are available in the public domain and will be integrated with the new survey into one compilation effort. The magnetic data exhibits numerous structures that crosscut the property in northeast, northwest and east-west orientations. A 6km by 4km area to the southwest portion of the property is of particular interest due to the convergence of the various structures coincident with the most intense conductive responses. The preliminary airborne EM profile and total magnetic field maps can be viewed at the Company's website (www.bentonresources.ca).

The efforts of the first phase exploration will concentrate on identifying favourable geology coincident with airborne conductors. Result from the program will be released when they are received and compiled.
