National Coatings' AcryShield Roof Coating Products Are Approved for the Florida Power and Light (FPL) Business Building Envelope Rebate

CAMARILLO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--FPL Business Building Envelope program listed National Coatings Corporation (NCC) to be amongst the few approved reflective cool roof coating manufacturers for the rebate.

The FPL’s Business Building Envelop program is providing incentives for roofs with reflective roof surfaces and spray foam roofing insulation. This incentive program is financially beneficial to the building owner who receives a rebate, lowers their energy bills yearly, and lengthens the service life of their roof. The building’s occupants will also benefit by working in a cooler, more comfortable environment.

The incentive for applying a reflective roof coating to your building is $0.45 per square foot of reflective roof measure rebate. When certain size conditions are met, spray foam roofing can qualify for an additional $.05 per square foot. The approved coatings from National Coatings protect the exterior of your building from harmful ultraviolet rays, extending the life of the roof.

Each of the approved reflective coatings currently listed (AcryShield® A400, AcryShield® A420, AcryShield® A500, AcryShield® A510, AcryShield® A550, and AcryShield® A600) from National Coatings, meet the “Energy Star compliant” requirement, as well as, the requirement that the solar reflectivity must be at least 73%. All of National Coatings reflective coatings range from 75% to 88% solar reflectivity.
