Explorator Appoints David Prins Chairman of Technical Advisory Committee

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 8, 2008) - Explorator Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE: EXO.V) is very pleased to announce the appointment of David Prins to the position of Consulting Engineer and Chairman of the Company's Technical Advisory Committee.

David Prins is a Civil Engineer with extensive experience in guiding large mining projects from the pre-feasibility stage through to commissioning, as well as significant operations experience in Chile.

Mr. Prins is based in Santiago, Chile and is Principal of PrinZ Limitada providing Project Evaluation and Management services to the mining industry. Clients have included Kinross Gold, Bema Gold, Aur Resources, Teck Cominco, and Yamana Gold.

Prior to establishing PrinZ Limitada, Mr. Prins spent 12 years with Placer Dome Chile in a variety of positions with increasing responsibility. His experience at Placer Dome included managing multiple aspects of several multi-million dollar projects from the conceptual stage through to commissioning and handover to operational groups. This included significant contribution to the multi-functional team that developed and presented the feasibility studies in 2005 for the $1.4 Billion Pueblo Viejo Gold Project in the Domincan Republic and the $1.75 Billion Cerro Casale Gold/Copper Project in Chile.

In addition, the Corporation has granted options to purchase 1,025,000 common shares of the Corporation at an exercise price of $0.79 and valid for a period of five years to directors, officers and consultants of the Corporation, subject to regulatory approval.
