Active Control bolsters service excellence to ActiveMine(TM) customers with new executive position

John Steckley to lead high quality program delivery as Vice President,

Account Management

TORONTO, July 10 /CNW/ - Active Control Technology Inc. (TSX-V: ACT.V) announced today that it has appointed John Steckley as the company's Vice President, Account Management as part of an initiative to further enhance service excellence and value delivery to ActiveMine(TM) customers.

Mr. Steckley will head a new account management structure in which Account Managers will be assigned to customers that have purchased or installed ActiveMine, the premier wireless communications and locating system for mines. The Account Managers will be responsible for high quality program delivery to ensure service excellence, maximize customer value, and drive new revenue opportunities for Active Control.

The structure reflects the complexity, sophistication and large scale of most mining companies that comprise ActiveMine's customer base. These companies typically have multiple mines, often with both above-ground and below-ground operations, in multiple states and even multiple countries.

Mr. Steckley is uniquely qualified to lead the new account management team. He has an extensive background in advanced technology construction, deployment and project management. In his previous role as Active Control's Vice President, Sales, he also acquired world-leading expertise in the development and deployment of wireless mesh network solutions in mines.
