EATONTOWN, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--EMRISE CORPORATION (NYSE Arca: ERI), a multi-national manufacturer of defense and aerospace electronic devices and communications equipment, today announced that it has received an additional $900,000 order for radio frequency (RF) devices to be used in radio-controlled improvised explosive device (RCIED) jamming systems. Shipment of the order is expected to begin in this year’s fourth quarter and is scheduled to be completed by the end of January 2010.

RCIED jamming systems are designed to prevent the detonation of improvised explosive devices (IEDs). Often called roadside bombs, IEDs wound or kill substantial numbers of people in military conflicts and terrorist attacks around the world.

EMRISE Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Carmine T. Oliva said, “This latest order for RF devices represents yet another opportunity for the Company to generate revenue from a key U.S. Military force protection program. Over the last 12 months we have received more than $8 million in orders for several types of RF devices used in vehicle-mounted RCIED jamming systems for combat vehicles.”

Oliva also noted that prior to this order, the latest was a $1.4 million order in late September that was also received by the Company’s Advanced Control Components, Inc. (ACC) subsidiary. ACC develops and supplies a wide variety of RF and microwave devices for a number of military and commercial applications, including RF devices used in RCIED jamming systems.
