Intec Appoints Telecom Veteran to Drive Emerging Market Growth
Tue Oct 13, 8:50 AMATLANTA & SAO PAULO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Intec, a global provider of business support systems (BSS) solutions, announced today that Raul Rodriguez has joined the company as Vice President, Latin America. Tasked with driving growth and market strategy for Intec’s operations in the Caribbean and Latin America (CALA), Rodriguez will lead a team of sales and marketing specialists throughout the Americas in furthering Intec’s customer footprint and revenue opportunities within the CALA marketplace.
A telecom industry veteran with nearly three decades of experience, Rodriguez joins Intec from Integrated Telecom Solutions, Inc. (ITS), a telecom solutions company where he was Global Vice President of Sales. Prior to ITS, Raul was President of Convergys in Latin America, based in Sao Paulo, and responsible for the execution of strategic billing and care initiatives in the Central and Latin American markets.
Rodriguez formerly served as vice president of Sales Latin America for Openwave Systems Inc., and spent 16 years with Tandem Computers and Compaq Computers where he held multiple positions with worldwide responsibility, including VP of Telecom Platforms, VP of Marketing and Business Development. At Tandem Computers, Rodriguez was VP of Telco sales in Latin America and President of Tandem do Brazil. He is credited with the growth in Mobility Management and Telco products for Compaq Telecommunications.

Originally from Venezuela, Rodriguez earned his Master's Degree in electronics engineering and computer communications networks from Monmouth College in Long Branch, New Jersey.
