Vector Aerospace reports higher quarterly profit
Fri Nov 13, 11:22 AMTORONTO (Reuters) - Vector Aerospace reported a higher quarterly profit on Friday, aided by airframe project completions in North America and Britain.
The aviation repair company said it earned C$7.8 million ($7.4 million), or 20 Canadian cents a diluted share, for the third quarter, up from C$6.5 million, or 17 Canadian cents a share, a year earlier.
Analysts, on average, had expected earnings of 22 Canadian cents a share for the period ended September 30, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.
Vector, which services both commercial and military markets, has operating facilities in Canada, the United States, Britain and South Africa.
The Toronto-based company's shares were up 19 Canadian cents, or 3 percent, at C$6.40 on the Toronto Stock Exchange on Friday morning.
