VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Jan. 14, 2009) - Caspar Koch, the founder and Chairman of AccelRate Power Systems (TSX VENTURE: APS.V)(FRANKFURT: KCG.F) (formerly Key Capital Group) died peacefully Sunday morning, January 11, 2009.
Mr. Koch came to Canada from Germany in 1951 and worked for 28 years in the automotive industry in various executive positions. He moved to Vancouver in 1979 and for 10 years was active in commercial land development. In 1989 Mr. Koch founded Key Capital Group Inc. and took the company public. Mr. Koch steered the company in various directions with different projects. In October 2003 he changed the company's name to AccelRate Power Systems to reflect the company's current focused direction. Due to health issues Mr. Koch had to slow down over the past year; however, he remained active and enthusiastic to the end. He will be missed for his drive, optimism, vision and sense of humour.
