Crown Point Acquires Acreage in Saskatchewan

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - April 14, 2008) - Crown Point Ventures Ltd. ("Crown Point") (TSX VENTURE: CWV.V) is pleased to announce that at the April 7, 2008 Saskatchewan Crown lease sale, Crown Point, in conjunction with its joint venture partner, Interwest Enterprises Ltd. ("Interwest"), a private oil and gas exploration company controlled by Hal Kettleson, the Chairman and a Director of Crown Point, successfully bid on 1,854 gross acres of Crown land. Earlier, Crown Point and Interwest had acquired 4,386 gross acres (3,136 net acres) of freehold oil and gas leases in Saskatchewan. This acreage provides the joint venture with a total of 4,990 net acres of prime exploration lands. The targeted formations are the Bakken-Threeforks, which are prolific in the southeast Saskatchewan - southwest Manitoba area.

Interwest will act as operator for the joint venture, and proposes that the first test well be drilled after spring break-up.
