TORONTO (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index popped higher on Thursday, pushing further into record high territory, propelled by strong resource and financial shares.

TORONTO (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index popped higher on Thursday, pushing further into record high territory, propelled by strong resource and financial shares.

The S&P/TSX composite index unofficially closed up 196.69 points, or 1.34 percent, at 14,823.00.
