"LaLola" Nominated for International Emmy Awards

LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dori Media Group (“Dori Media” or “DMG”), the international media company active in the field of television, with a focus on production, distribution, broadcasting and merchandising of Telenovela, is proud to announce that its hit show “LaLola” has been nominated at the 36th International Emmy Awards. “LaLola” is one of four nominated shows in the new “Telenovela” category and the winners will be announced at a ceremony in New York on November 24.

The prestigious International Emmy Awards is a unique event in the media and entertaining industry. The event attracts leading companies and professionals in the broadcasting industry, placing a spotlight on the best international television programs and upcoming hit shows. The awards are run by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences which is the largest organization of global broadcasters with over 600 members from nearly 70 countries. This year’s nominations span over 16 countries, and the final nomination is preceded by a vigorous judging period over 6 months with 600 judges from over 50 countries from all over the world.

“LaLola” is produced by Dori Media Contenidos, a subsidiary of Dori Media Group, and is based on an idea by Sebastian Ortega for Underground Contenidos. The show was sold to 57 countries in one year and it tells the story of Lalo, a man who wakes up one morning in the body of a woman, Lola, forcing Lalo to change his chauvinistic ways.
