Obama Sees the Mobile Cube for Himself

ZURICH & MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The subsidiary of Genesis Invest AG (FWB: GNO.F), Green Eco Sys, organized a kick-off event in Miami at the end of October to introduce its products to the American market. This event provided a showcase for the market-ready products and systems to be presented to a prestigious audience. As well as Miami’s mayor and a delegation from Homeland Security, even President Barack Obama briefly took time during his tour of Florida to visit the presentation in the early evening and to see Genesis Invest AG’s eco-friendly solutions for himself.

In their speeches, the Mayor of Miami, Manny Diaz, and Ralph Avallone of the Green Energy Council (the national council for green energy) stressed Miami’s role as a pioneering city in the green technology and water treatment sector. A particular highlight of the event was the drinking water served to the visitors, which had been purified from Miami Bay water using the Mobile Cube. Not only does this self-contained system produce drinking water, it can also supply ecologically produced power within a few hours, which makes it ideal for use in the emergency relief sector. This is why a high-caliber delegation from Homeland Security – the USA’s most important security organization – and representatives from the Urban Search and Rescue Task Force were among the visitors to the Green Eco Sys Event.

In future, the Mobile Cube will be available to the Urban Search and Rescue Task Force of the City of Miami for emergency relief. The city also anticipates being able to create as many “green jobs” as possible in the foreseeable future and to open up new areas of operation.

Barack Obama stresses the importance of eco-friendly solutions
Eco-friendly solutions have recently moved to the very top of the agenda in the USA. Of this there can be no doubt, ever since President Obama’s “Green New Deal”, in which he gave the go-ahead to investments of 167 billion dollars in renewable energies. During his visit to Florida, Mr Obama awarded the American energy corporation, Florida Power & Light Corporation (FPL), a further 200 million dollars to support energy-saving programs in private households. In the course of the presidential visit, Dirk Saecker, Director Business Development Americas at Genesis Invest AG, had the opportunity to meet the US President and briefly show him the most significant Genesis products.
