Comaplex Minerals Corp. Announces a Major Share Transaction

CALGARY, July 18 /CNW/ - Comaplex Minerals Corp. ("Comaplex") (TSX: CMF.TO) was recently advised by Agnico-Eagle Mines Limited (Agnico-Eagle) that it has agreed to purchase 7,628,571 common shares of Comaplex in a private transaction from Troy Resources NL. After the agreement closes, Agnico-Eagle will become the largest shareholder in Comaplex with an interest of 8,228,571 common shares, approximately 15.6 percent of common shares outstanding.

Agnico-Eagle has advised that the shares were acquired for investment purposes only. It has no present intention to acquire further Comaplex common shares and may from time to time increase or decrease its ownership of or control over securities of Comaplex in response to market conditions, the business and prospects of Comaplex, or other factors.

The Board of Directors and Management of Comaplex welcome Agnico-Eagle as its new major shareholder.
