TSX falls as oil, Manulife weigh

TORONTO (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index slumped on Thursday as oil prices sank and shares of Manulife Financial tumbled after it surprised investors with a C$2.5 billion stock offering.

TORONTO (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index slumped on Thursday as oil prices sank and shares of Manulife Financial tumbled after it surprised investors with a C$2.5 billion stock offering.

The S&P/TSX composite index unofficially closed down 56.97 points, or 0.49 percent, at 11,595.72.
