Dell, D.R. Horton results weigh on Wall Street

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Wall Street opened lower on Friday after worse-than-expected quarterly results from computer maker Dell and homebuilder D.R. Horton underscored that the road to recovery would not be smooth.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Wall Street opened lower on Friday after worse-than-expected quarterly results from computer maker Dell and homebuilder D.R. Horton underscored that the road to recovery would not be smooth.

The Dow Jones industrial average was down 29.62 points, or 0.29 percent, at 10,302.82. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was down 4.49 points, or 0.41 percent, at 1,090.41. The Nasdaq Composite Index was down 13.32 points, or 0.62 percent, at 2,143.50.
