TORONTO (Reuters) - The TSX slid hard late in the day on Wednesday as profit-taking hit gold-mining shares despite higher gold prices and bank and insurance shares also weakened.
The S&P/TSX composite index unofficially closed 100.52 points, or 0.87 percent, lower at 11,437.60.
