TORONTO (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index opened lower on Wednesday as a drop in oil prices hurt the index's weighty energy shares.

TORONTO (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index opened lower on Wednesday as a drop in oil prices hurt the index's weighty energy shares.

The S&P/TSX composite index was down 55.33 points, or 0.48 percent, at 11,482.79.
