Split REIT Opportunity Trust Announces Increased Monthly Distribution

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 22, 2007) - Split REIT Opportunity Trust (TSX: SOT-UN.TO) announces an increase in its monthly distribution from $0.07813 per Capital Unit to $0.0875, consisting of income and capital gains. The distribution for the month ending January 31, 2007 will be paid on February 15, 2007 to unitholders of record on January 31, 2007.
