Donald R. Head, Through Head Management Investments LLC and Head Children Investments LLC, Acquires Securities of Fortune River Resource Corp.

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - May 22, 2008) - Fortune River Resource Corp. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: FRX.V)(FRANKFURT:RG7A) has been advised that Donald R. Head of 14648 North Scottsdale Road, Suite 125, Scottsdale, Arizona 85254, United States of America, together with Head Management Investments LLC and Head Children Investments LLC companies, at the same address as Donald R. Head and over which Donald R. Head exercises control and direction (collectively referred to as the "Shareholder"), has acquired through the facilities of the TSX - Venture Exchange and through Private Placement purchases, at prices ranging from $0.23 to $0.58 and now beneficially owns 2,643,000 and 1,406,000 common shares respectively representing 8.21% and 4.36% for an aggregate of 12.57% of the outstanding capital of the Company. Additionally, Mr. Head holds options to purchase an aggregate of 100,000 common shares of the Company, which, when added to the holdings of Head Management Investments LLC and Head Children Investments LLC set out above, represent a holding of 12.84% of the outstanding capital of the Company.

The Shareholder has advised that its current intention is that all of the shares of the Company acquired were acquired for investment purposes but the Shareholder may, from time to time, reconsider its holdings in the Company and, as circumstances dictate, may increase or decrease its position in the Company.
