VANCOUVER Petroamerica Oil Corp. (TSXV: PTA.V) said it will begin trading on the TSX Venture Exchange Friday after the completion of a series of oil and gas acquisitions in Colombia.

The new company, formerly Cantrell Capital Corp., made the announcement late Thursday as part of some reverse takeover transactions.

Last month, Cantrell struck a deal with Peninsula Corp. of Vancouver, Next Ventures Corp. of Bogota, Colombia, and Knotsville Capital S.A. of Zurich to acquire oil and gas exploration contracts in Colombia.

The price tag of the deal was 60 million Cantrell shares.

The company was named Petroamerica Oil Corp. after the transactions closed.

The company said it has 312 million shares issued and outstanding.
