TSX opens lower on oil price, Potash earnings

TORONTO (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index opened slightly lower on Thursday as a slide in oil prices pulled down energy shares, while Potash Corp shares dropped after the company reported a drop in quarterly profit.

TORONTO (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index opened slightly lower on Thursday as a slide in oil prices pulled down energy shares, while Potash Corp shares dropped after the company reported a drop in quarterly profit.

The S&P/TSX composite index fell 11.61 points, or 0.1 percent, to 11,430.41 at the open.
