Blue Coat Senior Technologist and IPv6 Expert to Present Research Paper at 2008 IFIP Network and Parallel Computing Conference

(Nasdaq: BCSI), the leader in WAN Application Delivery and Secure Web Gateway, today announced that its senior technologist Qing Li will present his research paper titled, A Novel Approach to Manage Asymmetric Traffic Flows for Secure Network Proxies at the International Conference on Network and Parallel Computing. Hosted by the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP), the conference will take place October 18-20, 2008, in Shanghai, China. The conference proceedings will be published in the prestigious Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science book series.
In the paper, Li describes research that has resulted in the development of a key product feature in Blue Coat® ProxySG® appliances. In particular, the feature enables multiple ProxySG appliances to function as a computing cluster that cooperatively manages asymmetrically-routed traffic flows processed by any appliance within the cluster.
Li works on the design and development of Blue Coat networking technology, including IPv6 implementations. In addition, Li has co-authored a two-volume reference series on IPv6. Published by Morgan Kaufmann Publishers Volume I, IPv6 Core Protocols Implementation was published in October 2006, and Volume II, IPv6 Advanced Protocols Implementation was published in April 2007. Blue Coat ProxySG appliances enable visibility and control of Web interactions between users and content or applications to ensure security, acceleration and policy control.
