Starfire extends annual general meeting date

VANCOUVER, June 25 /CNW/ - Starfire Minerals Inc. (the "Company") wishes to announce that it will be postponing the holding of its next annual general meeting.

The Company was scheduled to hold the next annual general meeting (the "Meeting") of its shareholders on July 19, 2008, however, as the Company is still in the process of finalizing the details of, and materials relating to, its corporate reorganization (see news release of January 7, 2008), management of the Company determined it in the best interest of shareholders to postpone the Meeting until such time as the reorganization materials can be presented to the shareholders together with all other standard annual meeting matters. This will result in a substantial savings for shareholders as both matters can be dealt with in one mailing and Meeting.

The Company is working to expedite this process and expects to hold the Meeting as soon as possible.
