Minterra Identifies Gold Targets at CPG Property in Nevada
Mon May 26, 1:02 PMVANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - May 26, 2008) - Minterra Resource Corp. (TSX VENTURE: MTR.V) ("Minterra" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the completion of a 45.6-line kilometer ground magnetic, geophysical survey and initial geologic mapping of the CPG Project in Mineral County, Nevada. Rock chip sampling completed during the geologic mapping program returned results for 18 of 50 samples, with greater than 0.01 opt gold (0.34 g/t Au), including 5 samples greater than 0.03 opt gold (1.0 g/t Au).
CPG is a skarn-type gold target on which Minterra is currently exploring and completing mapping, geochemical and geophysical surveys to determine drill targets. In Nevada, these types of deposits typically have an extensive suite of metals. As shown on the following table significant results for other metals includes silver grading up to 0.75 opt (25.7 g/t Ag), copper up to 13.7%, and molybdenum up to 530 ppm.

The ground magnetic survey data shown on the accompanying map provides an interpreted signature outlining the intrusive rocks that localized gold and associated metal mineralization. Surface geologic mapping of the intrusive rocks correlates with the highs interpreted from the magnetic survey data. The anomalous gold and silver, (plus copper and molybdenum), sampled from the surface occurs along the contact of the intrusive with the surrounding limestone and along faults cutting the intrusive. Specific drill targets will be outlined utilizing the magnetic signature, because it identifies the edge of the intrusive which itself is closely correlated with the anomalous assay results for gold and other metals. The magnetic signature of the intrusive edge extends to the southeast of the outcropping intrusive under shallow surface gravel and volcanic rocks, which significantly increases the size of the target to be drill tested. The next phase of exploration at CPG will consist of soil sampling, additional rock chip sampling, and detailed mapping along the contact zone to help define specific drill sites. Additional land acquisition is in progress. E.L.
