Richards Oil & Gas Limited Hires Glenn Taylor as Operations Manager

CALGARY, May 27 /CNW/ - Richards Oil & Gas Limited (the "Company"), (TSX Venture: RIX.V) announces that Mr. Glenn Taylor will be joining the Company effective June 1, 2008 as Operations Manager.

Mr. Taylor is an Engineering Technologist with over 28 years' experience in the oil and gas industry. He has worked for corporations ranging from major producers to growth orientated junior producers with increasing responsibility in technical, supervisory and management functions focused on production operations, drilling, completions and facilities.

For the past five years Mr. Taylor has worked at TransGlobe Energy Corporation as Manager, Operations (Domestic) and was responsible for the development and management of over 1,400 BOE per day of production (both coal bed methane plus conventional oil & gas). Mr. Taylor has considerable experience with the Company's Morningside, Gadsby and Thorsby properties as a significant portion of TransGlobe Energy Corp.'s activities were partnered with Richards Oil & Gas Limited's in these areas.
