CU and CSU Fans Face-off in Qwest's $10,000 Text Message Challenge

DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--On Sunday, Aug. 31^st the 80th meeting in the historic rivalry between the University of Colorado (CU) Buffaloes and the Colorado State University (CSU) Rams will take place at the 2008 Qwest Rocky Mountain Showdown. As the title sponsor, Qwest is asking CU and CSU fans to get involved by texting for a cause! Qwest will donate a total of $10,000 to the Boys and Girls Clubs in Boulder, Fort Collins and Denver based on the volume of text messages sent by each team’s fans.

Text "BUFFS" or "RAMS" to 22700 between now and halftime of the Qwest Rocky Mountain Showdown on Aug 31^st, which kicks off at 5:30 p.m. Fans can text as often as they like.

Qwest’s $10,000 donation to the Boys and Girls Clubs will be divided as follows and presented between the 3^rd and 4^th quarters at the Qwest Rocky Mountain Showdown:

• $5,000 to the local Boys and Girls Club whose team receives the most text-message votes
• $3,000 to the local Boys and Girls Club whose team receives the second-most text votes
• $2,000 to the Boys and Girls Club of Denver
