Nascentric President and CEO, Rahm Shastry, to Present at the NVIDIA(R) NVISION 08 Conference

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Rahm Shastry, President and CEO of Nascentric, Inc., will speak today at the Emerging Companies Summit of the NVIDIA® NVISION 08 Conference at the San Jose Convention Center. Shastry was invited by NVIDIA to present details of Nascentric’s latest product, OmegaSim™ GX, which leverages NVIDIA Tesla™ Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) to accelerate SPICE simulation.

OmegaSim GX is the world’s first hardware-accelerated SPICE simulator. SPICE simulation is essential for verifying Integrated Circuits prior to fabrication to ensure correct timing and functionality. Accurate SPICE simulation requires the evaluation of millions of complex arithmetic operators. OmegaSim GX utilizes the massively parallel computational capability of the NVIDIA GPUs to perform these arithmetic operations, thereby increasing the performance of the simulation without sacrificing accuracy.

NVISION ’08 is the first mega-conference for visual computing. Conferences of the past focused primarily on video gaming and 3D applications. This year the show has expanded to encompass scientific and computing applications, which will be featured at the Emerging Companies Summit portion of the conference.
