Nevada Gold Holdings Inc. Announces Filing of Form 10-Q

Thu Aug 27, 11:05 AM

FERNLEY, Nev.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nevada Gold Holdings, Inc. (“the Company”) (OTCBB: NGHI.OB), a mineral exploration company focused on identifying and developing large-scale gold deposits in Nevada, announced today that the Company has filed its Quarterly Report on “Form 10-Q” for its quarter ending June 30, 2009 with the SEC. The “E” that was added to the Company’s symbol, indicating that its 10-Q filing was late, which was due to an unexpected change in auditing firms, is expected to be removed shortly.

As reported in a Company press release earlier this week, the delay in filing the Company’s 10-Q was due to the fact that the Company was informed by its independent auditing firm, Moore & Associates, Chartered, approximately one week before the due date for filing the 10-Q that the firm would no longer be engaged in auditing or reviewing public company financial statements, effective immediately. Subsequently, GBH CPAs, PC, a firm specializing in resource/energy companies, has been retained to serve as the independent registered public accountants for the fiscal year 2009

“I apologize again for the delay in filing our Quarterly Report. There was no way for the Company to have foreseen the circumstances with our auditors, however, we will continue to make every effort to avoid any delays in our future filings," commented President and Chief Geologist of Nevada Gold Holdings Inc., Dave Mathewson.
