Phyllis Yaffe Joins Cineplex Galaxy Income Fund Board of Trustees

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 28, 2008) - The Board of Trustees of Cineplex Galaxy Income Fund (TSX: CGX-UN.TO) announced today the appointment of Phyllis Yaffe, former CEO of Alliance Atlantis Communications Inc., to the Cineplex Galaxy Income Fund Board of Trustees. Ms. Yaffe will also assume a role on the Audit Committee of the Fund. The appointment was effective February 6, 2008.

Phyllis Yaffe was appointed CEO of Alliance Atlantis Communications in June of 2005. Prior to this role, Phyllis was COO and was responsible for overseeing Alliance Atlantis' worldwide operations including the Canadian specialty television channels, its international television distribution business and the hit CSI franchise which the company co-owned and co-produced with CBS Productions. Prior to her role as COO, she led the company's broadcast division overseeing all aspects of managing the company's 13 Canadian specialty television networks. She was inducted into the Canadian Association of Broadcasters' Broadcast Hall of Fame in 2007; received the Lifetime Achievement Award from Women in Film and Television in 2000 and was also Canadian Women in Communications' 1999 Woman of the Year among other honours.

Ms. Yaffe presently sits on the World Wildlife Fund Board. She is Chairperson of WAMS (Women Against Multiple Sclerosis) and Vice-Chair of the Ryerson University Board of Governors and Vice-chair of the Finance Committee of Ryerson University. Ms. Yaffe is also a member of the United Way of Greater Toronto's 2007 Campaign Cabinet.
