Eaton Vance Floating-Rate Income Trust Annual Meeting of Shareholders

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--At their annual meeting today, shareholders of Eaton Vance Floating-Rate Income Trust (the “Trust”) (NYSE: EFT), voted to elect Benjamin C. Esty, Allen R. Freedman and Thomas E. Faust Jr. as Class I Trustees of the Trust for a three-year term and Heidi L. Steiger as a Class II Trustee until 2009. The Trust’s other Class II and Class III Trustees, who also serve staggered three-year terms, were not up for election and remain in office.

The Trust is managed by Eaton Vance Management, a subsidiary of Eaton Vance Corp., which is listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol EV. Eaton Vance and its affiliates had $152.9 billion in assets under management on January 31, 2008.
