TSX starts slightly lower, banks weigh

TORONTO (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index got off to a slightly lower start on Friday as Royal Bank of Canada and other heavyweight bank shares handed back some of the meaty gains they made on Thursday.

TORONTO (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index got off to a slightly lower start on Friday as Royal Bank of Canada and other heavyweight bank shares handed back some of the meaty gains they made on Thursday.

The S&P/TSX composite index fell 2.31 points to 11,072.91 at the open.
